The story of Definite begins in Cologne. This is where Jens, Definite’s founder, tried craft chocolate for the first time. He immediately falls in love and dreams of making his own chocolate. A few years later he moved to the Dominican Republic and began creating his first chocolates at home. Definite has now grown into an award-winning company. In their factory in Santo Doming, only 'Single Origin' and 'Single Estate' chocolates are made with cocoa from the Dominican Republic.

The exciting thing is that experts classify almost half of them as fine flavor cocoa. In addition, most farmers shine with sustainable cultivation and fair working conditions on their cocoa plantations. The knowledge about the positive effect of these principles is widely shared in the numerous cooperations. With the help of these, the farmers can also achieve higher prices for their cocoa together. A great development! And an example that economic growth is possible and desirable, especially in the area of ​​sustainable cocoa cultivation.
